Harper's Letter

You know when you have one of those days where nothing seems to go well and you can't remember why you are here? Kids seem to know what to say or do to put things in perspective again. Harper wrote this the other night (unprovoked) and cleaned our room and left it on our pillow. She didn't tell us to go look ---she was not looking for our reaction! This was a letter from her heart. Everyday we see Harper growing into this warm hearted, truly sweet young lady and this just blew Johnny and I away!
(BTW---the picture in the middle of the cross is Jesus) The translation for those who can't interpret Harper's penmanship--"I love Jesus and my family. Thanks mom and dad for everything and helping me believe in Jesus."

Oh... children are such a gift and a blessing. There's just not anything in the world like them. So precious and so pure of heart. There is nothing that gives me the clarity and focus I need each day as much as the thoughts and actions of my children. They don't know how to be anything but honest and true. They speak from their hearts, with no bias and no preconceived notions. They truly are the teachers, aren't they? How lucky are we that we were picked to be their parents?!
